Di-tu Wiktionary

This is a dictionary of Aromanian language, i.e. it explains the meaning of Aromanian words.
This entry is irrelevant.
Please input valid Aromanian words and explain them (with synonym Aromanian words) to contribute usefully.

This is not true, this is a dictionary in Aromanian language interface but still a multilingual dictionary just like any other Wiktionary too.
This means there can be entries Aromanian-> other language and other language -> Aromanian

You are right. I'm still learning this system :).
It would be nice to have a clearer separation between the the multilingual and the explanatory dictionaries, but that's ok for now - maybe someday ... (or maybe they are already separated somehow and I didn't find yet how to tell them apart)
My worry is that the multilingual content dilutes the already thin explanatory content, and I consider the explanatory content more important (endangered).
Thanks! and regards, Doru
I agree totally with You, that the native language content is more important, but I think it was helpful and important to give this project a start. First thing I would recommend if You want to start this project good from the beginning, look around in other Wiktionaries and choose a structure You like best for this Wiktionary too, because changing the structure afterwards, when there are a lot of entries is very arduous. If You ever need help with this You can always contact me, I am mainly working in the Icelandic Wiktionary my talkpage there. I have seen that Piolinfax helped here a bit too, he is a good friend of mine, polyglot and to be found in lots of Wiktionaries too, and he is very helpful! The interesting feature of a multilingual dictionary in Aromanian is that it opens the possibility for Aromanian speakers to learn about both their own language and others. I agree as well that Aromanian entries ought to have priority (as it happens in the rest of wiktionaries), anyway, you can see in Category:Limbe that the words are sorted by language and they do not necessarily interfere with each other: so far we have Category:Armãneashce, Category:Anglica, Category:Ispanjolã, Category:Latinã and Category:Romãneashce (click on them to see how many entries of them currently exist in roa-rup.wikt). By placing {{-roa-rup-}} for Aromanian, {{-en-}} for English, {{-es-}} for Spanish, {{-la-}} for Latin and {{-ro-}} for Romanian at the top of the page, you get a templated title of the language and an automatic categorization of the word as pertaining to this or that language. Thanks guys!
Indeed it was important to get things started.
I am definitely interested in defining a better framework for this project. So I'll look into other Wiktionaries, and ask you and the others about it.
My time is limited so progress will be slow, but I guess we all know this. Regards, --Doruuu 20:38, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
